Budleigh Farm Access Statement

Introduction

Our self-catering properties are on a farm, and are converted from granite buildings which were built in the 1870s.  We have tried to provide as much information as possible in this statement.  If you have any queries, please get in touch with us.

We are a non-smoking establishment.

Pre-Arrival
 
•We have a comprehensive website where you can “take a walk” and view the properties and their situation.

•Bookings / enquiries can be made via email, fax, or phone.

•The nearest bus stop is at the end of our drive, approximately 120m from the main farm house. 

•The nearest train stations are approximately 12 miles away in either Exeter or Newton Abbot.  Use Exeter if you approach us from the east, or Newton Abbot from the west.  Buses are available from both stations: from Newton Abbot you can be dropped at the end of our drive, from Exeter you would be taken to the middle of Moretonhampstead, which is less than a mile away.

•We can arrange for shopping to be delivered should you need it.

*  There is some mobile phone reception with Orange and T-mobile being the best.

Arrival & Car Parking Facilities - General

• We have ample parking facilities

* There is always someone on site to greet you, and you should park your car at the first car park, then approach the farm house through the courtyard.

Public Areas; Games and Play

*  Table tennis room (bats and balls available at the farmhouse).

*  Wooden swing/slide/rope play facility.

*  Room next to the table tennis area with table and chairs, sink with cold water.

*  Open air, heated swimming pool (open May to September, dependent on weather), in secure area, away from the properties.  One step down from garden; bolted gate; plastic tables and chairs, with pergola partly covered.

*  Covered woodshed containing fuel for use in the 3 wood burners (in Studio, Flexi and Granary).

*  We recycle as much as possible, and there are re-cycling facilities in all properties, with appropriate bins centralised in 2 areas for easy access.


Public Areas – WC and Laundry


2 public toilets, urinal, shower, 2 washbasins.  Small step up.

*  Laundry room  (on level) with Miele washing machine, separate tumble dryer.  Spin dryer.

Linney (property all on one level once inside)

*  Very small room with folding child’s bed and travel cot (space for one or the other in use – not both).  High wide shelf for storage.
